"TRAINER UPDATES"
Happy Birthday month to me!!! That said, I decided this year instead of receiving gifts/cards for my birthday, I wanted to do a special event to "give back!" On Fri., Oct. 13, I plan to ride my first ever "century" bike ride (100 miles) to try and raise funds for the "Russell Dillin Memorial Fund." Russell passed away at the age of 15 on April 12, after 6 long years battling brain cancer. This memorial fund serves to support local scholarships, provide funding for cancer research and Make a Wish projects.
Russell was the son of my good friends Cora and Jim Dillin of Mauston, WI. Please consider making a Venmo donation to the address listed either in one lump sum or so much per mile. Thanks for considering giving, every little bit helps!

ABOUT ME
LISA ROELKE
Lisa’s journey into the health and fitness world started in 1984 when she started her Bachelor of Science at the University of Wisconsin Platteville. She had always had a passion for exercise and fitness and was excited to pursue that passion professionally. She hoped to positively impact others in helping them make healthier life choices. While attending UW Platteville she played on the school's volleyball team where she was a four year letter winner as setter and captain. Soon after her graduation her over 30-year teaching career began at River Valley High School in Spring Green Wisconsin. She soon decided to peruse her Master of Science Degree in Pedagogy at the University of Wisconsin La Crosse, where she was also hired as the assistant volleyball coach. Upon her return to River Valley, she implemented a new “Lifetime Wellness” curriculum which she had developed as her master’s thesis, and along with her teaching partner created one of the top curriculums in the state. Lisa coached at the Junior College level, leading the UW-Richland Roadrunners to two conference titles between 1995-1999. In 1999 she became the head volleyball coach at River Valley where she led the team to multiple conference and regional championships, over 700 career wins, and a state runner up title in 2005. Throughout her years with the team she was recognized by her peers as SWAL/SWC coach of the year 8 times, and WCC coach of the year twice in 1997 and 1998. In 2021 she was inducted into the WVCA Hall of Fame in recognition of her coaching accomplishments. Along with teaching and coaching she has also been a personal trainer for twelve years, loving it more with each new client.

about the logo
A personal touch
"MY TRIBE: Behind every successful woman is a tribe of other successful people who have their back, unconditionally. My mom's maiden name was ROCK, and even though she is no longer with me, I always feel stronger when we are connected spiritually.....hence the R2 in my logo, and the name of my new LLC!"

"Life is all about finding people who are your kind of CRAZY, your own TRIBE! People come and go, but once in a while you meet people who you know are going to stay in your life forever. You know, the ones you could talk to with for hours, but still enjoy their comfortable silence. The once in a lifetime kind of people; the drop everything, call in the middle of the night, always there no matter what people. I hope to be that kind of person for my clients, as I consider you folks MY TRIBE, and I will work fiercely to help you achieve your goals!"
